SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

The 1st ECEC and Technology Conference aims to become a meeting point for researchers, educators, practitioners and all those interested in the future of early childhood education in a rapidly evolving digital world. The conference seeks to advance scientific knowledge and innovative methodologies that can be effectively applied to the integration of digital technologies in early learning contexts, with particular attention to children’s cognitive, social and emotional development.

The conference engages researchers, teachers, educational professionals, policymakers and innovators to address current challenges and opportunities related to the use of technology in ECEC. This 1st 2026 edition will focus on the informed, inclusive and developmentally appropriate use of digital tools to enhance learning, relationships and wellbeing in early childhood settings.

This edition of the ECEC and Technology Conference is free of charge and open to all researchers and practitioners, including early-stage researchers, who are strongly encouraged to participate. The conference aims to foster a multidisciplinary community of practice, bringing together perspectives from fields such as education, psychology, pedagogy and digital innovation.

DEADLINE DATE: 21st June

Abstract must be written in English and submitted in the form of an abstract (maximum 300 words). You can download the template here.

The abstract must be uploaded in pdf format and the size of the file must be 10MB max.

All submissions will undergo a peer-review process carried out by at least two members of the scientific committee, according to the following criteria:

  • Originality and innovation
  • Scientific quality and methodological rigor
  • Relevance to early childhood education 
  • Potential impact on educational practices and research
  • Theoretical and/or empirical grounding
  • Clarity and quality of presentation

Authors of accepted abstracts will be invited to present their work at the Conference in presence or online.
